
Data Care: our role as data-Informed caregivers to ourselves, our children and our elders
This informative panel brings together Black women data leaders who are also caregivers to others. Through intentional decision-making, they have successfully balanced career aspirations with caregiving responsibilities. The conversation will delve into systemic challenges, including gaps in childcare and family support policies and the need for workplace flexibility . Panelists will share strategies for taking care of themselves while highlighting ways to effectively support their dual roles as caregivers and professionals.
About
Tiffini Hyatt (she/her) is a software engineer at Etsy, where she builds data pipelines to enable the company's marketing strategy for social media platforms like Pinterest, Instagram, TikTok, and more. She also serves as a co-chair of Etsy's Parents Employee Resource Group. Prior to becoming a software engineer, Tiffini worked in public education as a kindergarten teacher, supported new teachers as an instructional coach, and received her M.Ed. from Harvard Graduate School of Education. Tiffini currently resides in the San Francisco Bay area with her partner, Travis, and their three young children.
