Aligning Life Journeys with Data Destinations

In this workshop, we will go over ways to vet an opportunity at every stage of the application - before pressing send all the way up to the final interview if we get there. By the conclusion of the session, she hopes to show Black women how to be intentional and unafraid in aligning our strengths and prior experiences with data roles and companies. Even though it may take relatively longer to find the right fit, this practice makes it more likely that we thrive at each stop.

Some session objectives include:

• How to complete a gap analysis to understand how to align the culmination of our experiences with potential roles

• Research your potential team and company culture

• Identify questions to ask during interviews to indirectly check for and spot red flags

There will be time dedicated to Q&A and open discussion.
