From making financial investments to rolling out new programs and divisions, leaders are being advised by data daily, and it's becoming easier with the help of insight-driven storytelling. Understanding how to share the story behind the insights driven by data is critical to gaining adoption of your analysis and products. In this session, you'll learn how to build and shape a dashboard into a powerful data-driven story using Power BI. Power BI Desktop is a free Business Intelligence application from Microsoft that lets you load, transform, and visualize data. Dashboards are everywhere, in your car, at the gym, at self-checkout, on your banking portal, on your healthcare portal, and more. These dashboards share important KPIs and metrics, like your spending trends, blood pressure, speed, and incline, but they don't tell the story. Understanding your metrics and KPIs on a dashboard is critical for making insight-driven decisions. You'll learn fundamental principles of data visualization, how to build a dashboard in Power BI and how to shape and tell the story of these KPIs, metrics, and visualizations without your presence. After the workshop, attendees will better understand how to:
